Here is a chubby dude I was pretty happy with. My favorite drawings are the ones I make with my trusty lumber crayon.

FRIDAY ART: Take that television!!

I made this comic strip today. To make it look like I wasn’t showing you guys ANOTHER undeveloped sketch I gave it this sweet old vignette look. Did I fool ya? I may just develop this and submit it to some comic strip jury somewhere… or… I may just forget.

Make more, consume less.

Also, I’ve been pretty busy but have finished a few more sheets of letters I’ll post them when I get a chance. For now check out my buddy Ramsey’s sweet lettering here. If that’s not enough check out this sweet pinstripe lettering action by House Industries. THAT is how lettering is done. Happy Friday!!

I break your face!

Friday, July 11th, 2008

My mom used to get REALLY pissed off at my brothers and me when we were younger. It would take something pretty big to get her that fired up. For instance if we disrespected her, or we were caught drinking, or we came home at 4 in the morning, or all of the above. So in the middle of her ranting she would blurt out “Te rompo la cara” which means “I’ll break your face.” Or more of a exact translation I guess would be “I break your face.” Pretty drastic right, face breaking? She never did break our faces luckily, though she probably came close, but I still chuckle thinking about her yelling at the top of her lungs that she would in fact do so.

Here’s a fun guy I just drew inspired by my mom.

I know, I know, I mispelled “cara”
